INTERNATIONAL INFORMATION
 International Couples
Those couples
who reside outside the U.S. will need to provide some proof of their birthdate,
such as a passport or other country-issued I.D., in order to obain a marriage
license. There is no other special documentation that will need to be provided.
International couples will need to contact officials in their country of origin
to find out how to register their marriage at home.
Apostille Information
When a citizen of a foreign country that
abides by the Hague authentication treaty is married in Las
Vegas, proof of the marriage consists
of a certified copy of the marriage certificate (proof that
the marriage ceremony was performed) and an Apostille. Some
countries may also require a certified copy of the marriage
application (license) as well. Please check with the appropriate
agency in your country. The following countries require an
Apostille:
AUSTRIA
BELGIUM
GERMANY
GREECE
ITALY
NETHERLANDS
PORTUGAL
SPAIN
German Consulate
1.certified copy of marriage certificate (certified abstract
is not accepted overseas)
2. Apostille in accordance with the above agreement
3. certified copy of license
The fees for these documents are
stipulated by the Nevada Agencies and are currently:
1. certified copy of marriage Certificat - $ 10.00
2. Apostille (Secretary of State) - $ 20.00 (if expedite handling
is requested - $ 95.00
3. certified copy of license - $ 4.00
The charge for postage and
handling in this office - $ 39.00 (this fee is set by the German
Government) We have a list with requirements for practically
all european countries, that we periodically check with the respective
consulates. This is too much to list.

In order to insure efficiency, we recommend utilizing the
German Consulate here in Las Vegas to process and expedite
the Apostille.
